Been listening to this lovely song a little too much over the past couple of days. Was initially going to use the line someday we’ll all agree, it’s not worth making another person that is yours for the taking because I think it’s wonderful but I couldn’t get it to work and still be fairly iconic, sadly.Ah well

showslow: Chicago-based designers Caroline Linder, Lisa Smith,...
Chicago-based designers Caroline Linder, Lisa Smith, Michael Savona, Thomas Moran, and Steven Haulenbeek, from the collective object design league,
presented their project ‘balloon factory’ on-site at the museum of contemporary art chicago. Replicating the manufacturing process
inside a gallery space, this installation was organized into a balloon production line, with eight stations to illustrate each step: Preparatory dipping,
drying, latex dipping, handpainting, soaking, heating, stripping, and inflation.
The five designers share a previously hidden manufacturing process and personalize it, with continuously evolving latex shaping and coloring techniques.
Only known to be made industrially before, the resulting balloons are unique, handmade objects that place the practice on the fringes of mass production.

“My heart and soul are at peace when I have the scissors in hand and the paper dances between the blades. If my scissors can manage to make you stop and wonder for just one instant, I will be happy”
